Hi all! Just wanted to show you some inspirational wall art I made today.... The idea for this had been swirling around in my brain for quite some time. I had found this subway art through Pinterest, and loved it. And, as a side note, if you like subway art, she made that for less that 7$! Check it out. :) Then I won this blog candy from sweet Sylvia's blog. You can see here, the theme was butterflies!
So, the theme became metamorphosis for this project. The journey of getting to the place where you realize life is, in fact, "never between you and them anyway."
I typed the words on the computer and played with the fonts and sizes of the words. I cut a pretty piece of DP into an 8 1/2x11 size & printed it out. I matted the saying in black cardstock and mounted it onto a coordinating brown DP. For the butterflies, I decided I wanted it to have a few that stood out, but to make most of them simple punched butterflies, that were then folded and attached with glue dots. Some got pretty gems attached. At the bottom, I used a butterfly stamp from my blog candy package, and heat embossed it with black powder and cut it out. At the top I added a silk/feather butterfly from Michaels.
When at Michaels I picked up this frame. I had a 20% coupon, so it was only 8$! I wanted a 3D/shadowbox frame & this one was actually for hanging a t-shirt. It's 13" square and deep enough for dimensional art like this, but not too deep.
So that's it for me today! Gotta go find a good hanging place for this. Have a stellar day & be at peace with yourself today. Much Love, Noelle
