Hi everyone! I hope you are all well on this last day of our weekend, I know, I know, tomorrow it's back to the grind! I found a new challenge today, called "Get Sketchy." Here's the link to this week's sketch http://getsketchy.blogspot.com/2010/08/get-sketchy-52.html
It had fun dangly things on the sketch, remember my paper charms? Way back when I started blogging? If you do, you are probably one of about 4 people who do, so here is the link to way back when, but there's a little tutorial. So, I made these charms a few months ago & had only used one of them for a necklace I made for a birthday gift. SOOOO, when I saw dangly things on this sketch, I thought, "Yay!! I can use those paper charms;)" I made the middle one so it could be untied from the card and tied on a bracelet, or zipper pull or something.
So here we are, I used SU! "Urban garden" DSP and mini punch pack for the charms. The solid paper is Baja Breeze and Basic Gray (and a tiny piece of Kiwi Kiss). The birthday stamp is from SU! "A Little Birthday Cheer." (Thanks to my friend Kim who called earlier and said that she was ALSO making a card with those colors, we must be on the same wavelength:) Ok, blue ribbon is that Nature's Own biodegradable stuff (gee, are you sick of it yet, since it's like on EVERY card I've made lately, lol....), green ribbon is Creative Imaginations, button is from my random jar, the punch is Martha Stewart, the patterned paper is October Afternoon and the glittery green brad is.....uh.....er...... MAYBE American crafts, but don't quote me on that.
I'm still unsure about one design element, and please weigh in if you think I should have stamped something on the Baja Breeze in Baja Breeze ink or Versamark? I am just not sure if it needs a little something "more." just like that Medallion stamp, or some kind of a tonal background. I thought it might get too busy with the charms and all, but I'm still on the fence about that part.
Ok, well, that's it for me, I'm planning on being back later this week with some more fun challenge posts! please comment (or follow, pretty please?) ;) I would LOVE to hear from you. Happy Crafting!!
xoxo, Noelle

Great card. I love the colors and the layered ribbon. I will definitely be checking out your tutorial for the charms.
