Spring has Sprung card for SCS Love Fest and TCPTUES 257!

Friendlies! I am so glad to "see" you! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I have a fun card for you today. It is Tuesday, so of course that means it's TCP Tuesday, Kelli is the Hostess and the theme for the TCP Tuesday Challenge is "Spring." It's also Love Fest at Splitcoaststampers today, and The Cat's Pajamas is hosting an inspiration challenge, here's the inspiration photo:

Isn't it nice that these 2 challenges go together so well?? It's a twofer, so I hope you can play with us! :) Here's the deets for TCP Tuesday:

  1. Each Tuesday a new challenge will be posted here on this blog as well as on our Splitcoaststampers forum and ourFacebook page.
  2. If you want to play along you just upload your design using the InLinkz button below*. If you want to display your pretties on Splitcoaststampers use keyword TCPTUES257. Only the entries uploaded to the Inlinkz button will be considered for Swanky Stamper at the end of the month.
  3. You must have your project posted by Monday, 12 midnight EST to be eligible to win the week’s Cat Cash.
  4. Cards and projects must have at least one Cat’s Pajamas Stamp or CutUps die in the project.
  5. On the following TCP Tuesday, the week’s winner will be chosen from the previous challenge and will receive a Cat Cash Voucher for $10.00.
  6. At the end of the month, The Swanky Stamper will be selected from all the weekly entries. The Swanky Stamper will receive some of the stamps from our next release and get to play along with us at our Pajamas Party and Blog Hop. AND… They’ll even get a special spot in the Gallery highlighting the project that won them the gig and a snazzy badge to display on their blog.
  7. The Swanky Stamper will be announced the First Monday of the month on Splitcoaststampers, Facebook page and this Blog.
Here's my card:

I took the scrolly iron gate in the 3rd photo as inspiration for the inside of my card, I stamped the Lock and Heart rubber background stamp on the inside of the card in a tonal ink.

I added some DP to the front of the card and just die cut through both layers with the largest die in the Framed Up CutUps.

I die cut two birdies from scraps with the Home Tweet Home CutUps, and then sandwiched them around some Lemon Divine Twine with adhesive. Then I taped the twine to the inside of the card above where the frame was die cut. I wanted this little birdie to have some movement when the card was standing up, and he does!

The colors and patterns, as well as the elegant feel to the garden photos contributed to the card. I used The Tweetest Things stamps for the sentiment. Then added a few embellies, 2 green gems, some ribbon, and a wooden bird.

Well that is all for me today, I hope you can come play with us at The Cat's Pajamas!! :)
