Hi all! I am not ignoring you, I swear! :( I know I am WAY behind on comments, I am so sorry! I normally get them on my phone, and have a hard time returning comments on the run. Please give me a wee bit of slack as an early birthday gift? ;)
I miss you all, I miss inspiration, I miss interacting with my blog friends. I also miss having 5 minutes to myself and sleep. And sugar. I'm on a diet (so fun to be on a diet in December, but so far I'm doing pretty good!) But yes, I miss you all about the same amount I miss sugar, and that's saying a LOT! ;)
The theater class I teach to kids has it's performance this week, and I am just SWAMPED. Total insanity! Throw in a couple parties, doctor's appointments, holiday card making, Christmas shopping, and other merriment, and I am just behind schedule all over the place. Whew! Anyway, this card is for the new challenge over at Can You Digi It? The theme is "Baby It's Cold Outside!" Here's a little inspiration to get you going:
To me, one of my favorite things to do on a cold winter night is watch movies in the family room with our fireplace on. We all snuggle under blankets, and eat popcorn. My whole house at the holidays is decorated with (silk) pine garlands strewn with white Christmas lights. We also have some pretty silver stocking holders and everyone in the family has a (unique) gold velvet stocking. The Christmas mantel is so pretty when the fireplace is going, so for me, the stocking image reminds me of those cozy times. I will try to get some mantel pics up for you soon. :)
I used this cute Stocking Image by "A Creative Need," and this great "Krafty Kristmas Paper Pack" from Green Goddess Designs. I alos used some of my new TCP dies, and a few elements (the banner and the star) that were in my "things already cut and need to be used" stash ;)
The sentiment is a cute PS image from Sentiment Sampler. Plus I dressed the stocking up with some gems and some Liquid Pearls. The holly embellishment from Bossy Joscie was the final touch! :)
I also used a Mojo Sketch from a couple weeks ago. Whenever I am struggling with layout, Mojo Monday is where I like to head! Here's the sketch. :)
Well that is all for me, I hope you are doing great! Please come play with us at Can You Digi It? this week!
