Lucky You/Happy St. Patrick's

Hey all, hope you are well. We've had a weird week... not so much any busier than normal, but my little man has been pretty sick. But I LOVE St. Patricks Day, & wanted to do something... my Papa was Irish and used to sing me little limericks and Irish songs when I was growing up. I miss him so much and know how much he loved St. Pats, so I always try to make it a little special for my boys, outside of the whole wearing o' the green thing. ;) Anyway, I usually do some little treat or something fun for the boys. Here's what I did this year...
Some "drinking glasses" shaped like shamrocks, a glow necklace, some Andes Mints and Rolos, Lucky Charms, and a St. Pat's button. The gift bags aren't very Irish looking, but they were on clearance for 62 cents, so I just decided to go with it. I made little tags with scraps, using my Verve shamrock dies and Lucky stamp set.
This plaid paper is so old, I used on my middle son's birth announcements, and he's 10 now! LOL, but it went well with these bags. I used a tag punch to cut the plaid paper, added a half hexagon (Jillibean Soup) sticker to the top of each tag, then stamped, and added my die cut/stamped shamrocks and a button to each one.
Picked up a 3 pack of these frog clips at the Dollar Spot when I got the glasses and the necklaces. seemed like a fun way to attach the tags & then I can use them for bread ties later.
I seriously doubt my kids will need any more sugar after the candy and sugar cereal, but I did find a fun recipe for a "healthy shamrock shake", and since it's non-dairy, I can even have one! I am also trying a new recipe; Crockpot Irish Stew & we're recording Finian's Rainbow for us to watch tonight, so maybe we can have our shakes then. :)
Hope you have an awesome, super-Irish day!
xo, Noelle
