Lovely Leaves card- Curtain Call 50 & SFYTT

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday, I hope you are well:) I am VERY tired today, I'm on my 3rd cup of coffee & realizing that NO amount of coffee is going to make up for the fact that I only had 3 1/2 hours of sleep! oy:(

A million things were running through my mind last night & it was after 2am by the time I FINALLY passed out. Then I have a running club I do on Sunday mornings at 7am (well, for me, it's more of a walking with intermittent sprinting kinda club, lol;) I fully admit, I ALMOST turned off my alarm, rolled over and went back to sleep. Even though I am VERY tired, I'm still proud I got up & worked out. Besides, I got to see my good buds Jenny & Mary. Working out is something I more or less avoided for the past 5 years. But I'm back on the wagon now, and it's cool that I am starting to see my strength increase & a couple lbs. of weight loss (tho after 3 babies, that part is SLOW!!!!) but, it's all good:)

This is for two challenges. This week's SFYTT AND the Curtain Call color challenge at Stacey's Stamping Stage. I'm getting better at the photo thing, so here's your sketch & colors, to the left.

The main thing I want to explain on this card, technique-wise is this main panel with the leaf. There are 3 layers here & I'll go through them back to front.

Back panel: cut slightly larger out of More Mustard cardstock, sponged edges with Cajun Craze ink.

Middle panel: glossy white cardstock on which I stamped various leaves from the stamp set in Versamark ink & then sponged over them with the four colors from the challenge (see the ghost-y white leaf shapes peeking through? GREAT resist technique!). Sprayed with gold Smooch Spritz & then wiped to even it out (it really beads up on the glossy cardstock) this is what gives it the glow and the dimension you see on the left here. I wish you could see this is person, it's really pretty if I do say so myself;)

Top panel: Stamped large leaf onto clear acetate using Brown StazOn ink. Cut acetate into same size oval as glossy piece. Ran acetate oval through the Xyron so adhesive is even and wouldn't show. Adhered this to glossy piece & then popped them up with dimensionals on the Mustard piece.

I strayed from the sketch a little as I made this panel oval shaped & I added the window punched out for the sentiment to show through.
