Boy's Baseball Birthday Card

Hi all, just wanted to pop by today with a birthday card I made yesterday. Little Ev has a birthday party to go to today, and it's baseball themed. I went with the colors purple and gold since it's a Colorado Rockies themed party.

I used to have baseball stamps when my Collin used to play. But I think I got rid of them a few years ago. I was able to use my Cricut Expression, and cut out the baseball bats and the glove on there. The bats were then stamped with a Stampin' Up! woodgrain stamp. I found the little Bella Blvd. baseball tag sticker in my stash. Then the card was done and done (as my sis would say).

Hope you all have a very Happy New Year's celebration! Boys are home and I am just trying to keep my head above water, lol.

Also, I am doing a BIG GIVEAWAY for my paper & ICE Facebook fans on the Facebook page! Check it out at that link if you can!

Merry Christmas! From Me, to You, with FEELING! ;)

Hi All! Merry Merry Christmas to all my Christian friends, and Happy Birthday to me too. I am 39 today, and looking ahead to a wonderful year. :) Here is a little card I whipped up a couple weeks ago. I bought this Snow Day set during the last sale at The Cat's Pajamas, I have always thought this set is too funny, it's easy to color too, minimal coloring, I mostly added Stickles to the snow and some glittery/generic Stickles type stuff to Snowball Bun's nose.

Made sense to me he should be blue since it's so cold!

This is a simple card, just layered up some matted pieces of DP, the stamped panel, and then a random embellie from my stash.

I hope you have a MERRY CHRISTMAS! Please check out my paper & ICE Facebook fan page. You may know from past years, I do a giveaway at this time of year. This year that giveaway will be on the fan page, so check it out! I will post it tomorrow :)

Christmas Gift Packaging 2013

Hi friends! Just wanted to pop in and show you some fun gift packaging that I managed this year. Firstly, there are these MINI jars of my Gingerbread Scrub. I gave these to many of my friends. The mini jelly jars were cute and were super easy to decorate with the Man CutUps and the Homemade for the Holidays stamp set from TCP.

I found these holiday "paint cans" already clearanced out at Tuesday Morning last week. I just layered the following to make cute gifts for my 2 workout buds; Donna and Celeta. we are together ALL THE TIME these days, and I wanted to do something fun for them. :)

The layers went as such; Mint M&M's, mini jar of scrub, patterned tissue paper, 5$ Starbucks card. Perfect!

On the side, I stamped some pre made tags with a snowman stamp and wrote their names over that. The little washers came with the cans to pry the lids off, so I just tied them right to the tags with some Holiday Divine Twine.

Here is a closeup on the can lids:

I hope you like these! To check out some fun gift ideas from past years; you can check out Holiday Teacher Gifties 2012, Snowman tags, Chocolate bar Sliders,  and Bits and Pieces posts from the past.

Santa Sack Tags

Hi friends, I just spent about 15 minutes making 3 quick tags, and I thought you might like to see! Last year Santa brought the boys presents in these large appliquéd felt sacks. He shops at Michaels, just like me. What a coincidence! ;) So I explained to the boys that we should put the sacks out this year on Christmas Eve, and Santa will leave their presents in them again. This solves the whole Santa present can't be wrapped in the same paper that Mom uses problem. My own Mom used to leave the Santa presents unwrapped, but the way our house is arranged, there's very few places Santa could leave presents downstairs that the boys can't see from upstairs.
Anyhow, my older 2 are too old to really believe, but Ev was REALLY concerned how Santa would remember that the red sack was his! LOL, so I promised I'd make tags to label them.
As with everything this time of year, we have been just SWAMPED! Cleaning, wrapping, baking, shopping. I'm sure you get just what I mean! Time was of the essence, so I wanted to be quick!
I used some older Stampin' Up! stamps on these, and some pre made tags. Since they were so simple, the embellies made all the difference!

Well, tomorrow holds more baking, getting the neighbors goodie plates over to them, more cleaning, etc. etc. I am sure you can relate!

Christmas Decor 2013

Hi there friends! FINALLY getting some of these posts done! Sure have missed blogging as of late! Here's one for today and two more scheduled for Monday and Christmas Day. :)

I have had a GREAT week, I was hired for my dream job that begins in January 2014, I will be teaching theater to kids through a children's theater conservatory here in Denver. It's starting out very part time, which is perfect for me as my youngest is still home 2-3 days per week right now. It pays really well for Fine Arts. Sounds like there may be future opportunities with this company as well. So I hope to expand as he is gone more and more. I also found that I will have two more cards published in CardMaker magazine in the Autumn 2014 issue! Woot woot! :) So, I really am feeling like life is on the upswing, looking forward to this coming year a LOT. :)

Wanted to share some holiday decor pics for this year. I had 2 new areas to decorate in my house this year, which always makes it fun. :) I revamped my dining room and added this great hutch which gave me a fun place to decorate. And last year for Christmas, we bought a new TV and console, so I had that area as well. Since I have WAY too much holiday decorating stuff already, I didn't need to buy much of anything, it was just fun to put things up a little differently! Here are some former holiday decorating posts from 2012, and 2011 too. :)

Here is the dining room table. I used a cute tinsel tree from Hobby Lobby (bought a couple years ago), a Pottery Barn snowman candle I bought used last year, a glitzy reindeer from Target, and some burlap snowflake ribbon. I was trying to go vintage/rustic/classy. So "vintclastic" perhaps?

Here are some shots of the hutch, I used my Grandma's vintage ornaments in the glass hurricane, and some other fun glitzy things in the other glass containers.

I didn't buy much this year, but I did pick up these vintage Santa mugs (one large and two mini) at an antiques store. You can see the boy's Santa pic from this year behind. My oldest finally weaseled his way out of the pic this year.... I guess he's 13, so it was bound to happen sooner or later! :( The frame is from Kohl's

Here's my elves that my Mom gave me, we always had these out at Christmas growing up. I've always been very attached to them. Since I'm the only one of HER kids who has 3 "elves" of my own, I inherited them! The bowl behind is a clearance find from TJ Maxx.
And a shot of the whole top part of the hutch:

Onto the family room!
One of my new additions in here this year was the Willow Tree Nativity Set my Mom bought me for my birthday. My birthday isn't until next week, but she gave it to me early so I could have it up for the season, I LOVE this! The angel and the sign she is on are out year round. My friend Beth gave her to me, she is called "Courage." :) I thought that big snowflake behind them was a nice representation of the Star of Bethlehem.

Here's a few more shots of the Family Room. The "snow" canvas was a project from a few years back.

These are Santa pics from years gone by. I can't believe how big my boys are now! :(

And here's the TV console, our TV hangs on the wall above it. :) I am so glad we bought it last year for Christmas, we have enjoyed a lot more family TV time, now it's big enough we can all see it! Ha!

That's all for me today, hope you are all having a FAB holiday season!! :)

hugs, Noelle
