Hey crafty friends, I hope you are doing well. I have made 2 cards today, it's been awesome to feel my mojo get going again. I made this card for this week's TAWS #34 Challenge. Here's the inspiration photo:
I bought this set a month ago and hadn't inked it yet, I just thought the arrows were fun and this set had a lot of possibilities.
One thing that really stood out to me about this photo was that the stripes don't meet up, they are offset. I wanted to pull that idea into my card, so I used two different striped papers to pull off that effect.
This is a large card; 5 1/2" square. Super simple stamping and a few pieces of DP and I was good to go. :)
I stamped a (different manufacturer-don't tell on me!) ;) sentiment on the inside, with a different arrow from the set, pointing up of course! The colors I used for inks were: Elegant Eggplant, Melon Mambo, Peach Parfait, and Certainly Celery.
I thought this card would be fun as a sort of "cheer up" card or a get well card. reflectively, I have to say that this last few months has been SO much better to me than the 2 years prior to 2013. I have been feeling so blessed these last few months, I'm very grateful for my life the way it is today. :) Just goes to show-jut keep swimming and eventually the waters will calm down!
Hope you're having a great weekend! I will be back later today or early tomorrow with my other card. :)
hugs, Noelle
