May TCP Tuesday: KISS

Hi all! Thanks for popping by! I'm here with a card for this month's brand new TCP Tuesday Challenge; which is to "Keep It Simple!" And now a few words from the Top Cat herself, Alma:

"This challenge is all about Clean and Simple cards.
Some people are good at it. Some people are not.
I know I tend to just keep piling on the embellishments and paper.
This challenge is about really looking at your stamps and making them the focal point.
It can be a classic, elegant card, or a fun and whimsical one.
Design a card with clean lines, minimal elements, areas of white space and few or no embellishments.
Less is more."

Here is my first card for this month's challenge, it's actually the last card that I had submitted for the Stamping Royalty Contest, but it felt CAS and I thought it would work well for this challenge. Do you love the button as much as I do? I believe it's vintage, I bought a bag of them at an antiques store, and there's several sizes. :) I also used Whale of a Time and some Airmail Divine Twine.

This was the first card I've ever colored with Spectrum Noir Markers. They are alcohol ink markers, like Copic, but are far less expensive. They do have a different, more dense type of bullet tip instead of the brush nib that we all love from Copic, but I had fun with them. They blend well with Copic, and I really enjoyed playing with them. :)

I love this whale! He is one of my fave TCP stamps, I'm very attached! He is adorable paper-pieceddry-embossedin neutral colors, and even as a "whaley" cute Valentine

Well that's it for me today! Big whale hugs to you, and here's hoping you'll be able to make some time this month to play with us at The Cat's Pajamas.

xo, Noelle

Your comments make my day! :) I've found it's easiest for me to return comments 1-2 times per week, so it might be a few days, but I WILL get over to your blogs and see what awesome things you've been up to. Thanks SO MUCH for popping by, blog friends!
