Happy 4th! Hope you all are having a fun holiday. :) Ours has been a bit off this year, first of all no fireworks due to the fires. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, I think it was the absolute RIGHT choice for our Governor to make, it would just be awful for anyone to do fireworks when so many have lost their homes due to these awful wildfires. It's just kind of weird to not have fireworks, you know what I mean? Also, our big family celebration we normally have just didn't work out, so it just wasn't the way it normally seems with 90 kids running around here, etc. ;) But, my in-laws came up, and since we didn't have a lot of people I was able to make my super-yummy roast chicken for dinner instead of a bunch of hot dogs, LOL. ;)
Also, I was REALLY thrilled to get online today. I have been very absent this week, just so busy! My sweet hubby bought me a gorgeous new bike for an anniversary gift on Saturday, so I've been trying to get out on that AMAP. Also, finishing up some of the many home improvement projects I have going on, pics to come soon! :) Throw 3 boys into this mix, and you might gather, I've just been really busy! What's new, right? ;) LOL
I'd been feeling a lack of mojo lately too. so it really lifted my spirits to see that I was named The Cat's Pajamas Swanky Stamper for July! I had SO much fun playing with the Cat Pack at the last release, SO excited I will get to play at the next one, too! Yea! I was chosen for this card, love my Mr. Pinwheel Bun! :)
So, onto today's card..... I made this using this week's ColourQ palette, I have been so behind I didn't get a page done for this week, but the least I could do was get a little card, in! :) I also used the sketch from TCP Tuesday 215, thought he linky is closed on that challenge now.
and here's another shot of my card:
I used my TCP Bingo set, and some fun papers from Little Yellow Bicycle and K&Company. Used a leftover silver star from last week's CQC card, and found this perfect USA brad just laying in the front of my drawer, kismet I tell you! :)
Well, I hope you like my card! Please come play this patriotic color palette at CQC this week!
God Bless America, Noelle
supply list: solid card stock and ink: SU!; stamps and die: TCP; sentiment stamp: PTI; DP: LYB and K&Co; star die: MFT; star punch: EK Success for SU!; USA brad: K&Co (I think)
DUST IT OFF! An old brad gives the card just a perfect patriotic touch, love it when it works out that way! :)
Beautiful card, Noelle, love seeing you have some fun on the 4th! Have been praying for Colorado that they will get the fires under control. Stay cool my friend and enjoy those boys, chicken sounds wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIt was an oddly quiet 4th, wasn't it? I really expected a lot of people shooting fireworks off anyway, but it was totally quiet and we had such a heavy layer of smoke from Wyoming...it was oppressive.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on TCP!
This card is so fun...I wouldn't have thought of bingo and that great USA brad but it truly is a classic combo.
your card is amazing...i love the design...so glad you had a great 4th...
ReplyDeleteI heard about the fireworks ban, too bad. Hopefully you guys will get some relief soon. Your card is so fun, and how cool that you were a winner--more good stuff!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat card! The star looks like an awesome sheriff's badge!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun Noelle! Hope the fires subside. Life is busy with children, especially three boys. I only had one boy, so I can well imagine!
ReplyDeleteVery awesome! Love the papers and your use of the colors!!!
ReplyDeletePS - Congrats, you swanky stamper, you!
ReplyDeleteSo festive, love this, Noelle~
