Hi all! Couldn't resist playing these 2 great challenges this week! This is for the Blue Christmas challenge at Jingle Belles and the Mojo Monday 202 sketch.
Here's the sketch....
Couldn't resist this sketch, because I have this new super-cute pennant punch! LOVE it! I would still love to get a pennant die, but now I'm not sure I'll be able to justify that! LOL, since I have this cute punch and can cut large pennants out on my die-cut machine. I love the way this punch has both pieces to layer, that adds a lot of possibilities. And to think, you could even make these shapes into little pine trees, or a star, etc. just by using them different ways.
So, my card..... I used some REALLY OLD DP from my stash. It's called "Bohemia Christmas" from MME circa 2006! I've only got a single sheet of DP, some punch out letters and scraps left in the kit. The pennants were actually punched from the front of the package sheet, you know the one that shows a little sample of what's in the package? Yep, totally usable, particularly for cards, since it doesn't matter if it's acid-free for cards. I used some Martha Stewart Crafts decorative tape for the little banners in the sketch. I dry embossed the brown piece with a quilted snowflake pattern embossing folder. The circular piece was made by heat embossing the stamped image with white EP, and layering with punched pieces and securing with an upholstered brad.
Well, i hope you like my card! Have a stellar day & I'll be back soon with more fun projects! :)

supply list: punches: EK Success for SU!; tape: MSC; paper: MME; stamps: Verve; embossing folder: Cuttlebug; solid cardstock in Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, and Soft Suede: Stampin' Up!
DUST IT OFF!: That paper is 5 years old and I even punched some pieces from the front page sample sheet that shows all the colors. Why not, right? :)
Gorgeous, Noelle! I love your non-traditional blue/brown Christmas combo…beautiful :)
