Hi there!!! Here's a quickie post for the day & then I've got a busy one ahead! This is for this week's colourQ53 and SFYTT 46. I've actually never done the colourQ challenge before, so this is a first for that one. I am CRAZY about these colors though, so it was a good one to cut my teeth on:) I flipped Jen's sketch onto it's side & used these little stamps & coordinating cloud paper from SU! that I haven't used much. They are from last year's Sale-a-bration sets. For that diagonal piece, I used a new cloud die from My Favorite Things. I stamped the little houses onto white, then cut them out & popped them up with dimensionals. I stamped the trees right onto the cloud paper. This card has alot going on! I toned it down by only using tonal patterned papers & mounting them on the same color of solid cardstock. The only one I did NOT do that on is the die cut cloud piece. I wanted that piece to take "star billing" and be the first thing you look at- so I made it the boldest of the colors, The Pacific Point blue, contrasted it with the bright white clouds & then mounted it on contrasting cardstock. Then your eye goes to the house panel next & slows down to take in the little scene. Finally you will likely look at the sentiment and the details of the card.
I hope you like my card! If you are a new visitor, I am a new bloggist & looking for followers, please take a minute to check out my blog & see if my style inspires you- I'd love for you to join in:) I'll be back soon with some more fun challenges! -Noelle
