Hi all! I am starting to feel better and hubby has to work today :( so I am mostly planning to be in with the boys today. Maybe a trip to Starbucks for a Pumpkin Spice Latte (my best friend Rachel told me they are BACK!!:) But, while I wait for Ian and Collin to clean their rooms (it could take DAYS!!!) I thought I'd get a couple challenges in for you & for me:) So here's the deets on my card. It's for Get Sketchy #53 and for Color Throwdown #107. I am LOVING all the fun pinwheels I've been seeing on cards lately! . I have made them before but not on cards. I made some 4th of July pinwheels for all my kids, nieces and nephews on Independence day '09. SO fun! But I think they are super happy and fun on cards. So, when I saw the 3 circles on this sketch, all I could think was "pinwheels!!" and the fun colors in the color throwdown challenge just added to it. So, I made the pinwheels out of some fun papers by Basic Grey (that patterned background paper is also Basic Grey) and October Afternoon. I used a solid premade card by DCWV. The center star brad is SU! as well as the Certainly Celery piece which was embossed with an SU! exclusive texturz plate by Sizzix and punched with an EK Success large curved embossing punch. The Pretty in Pink cardstock is also SU!The jumbo brads are old, I don't remember where they are from.... I then stamped the sentiment from 'A Little Birthday Cheer" and it was CROOKED!!! Grrrr. So I stamped it again on the Pretty in Pink scrap and popped it up with dimensionals, then going back in with a pen to "correct" the brackets a bit. Well, that's it for now! I hope to be back later today with some more challenges!! Have a GREAT day! :) -Noelle
