Card for Cath (CQC214)

Hi all, I actually have had quite the eventful week around here. Hubby and I were about 6 hours into our weekend alone last Friday night when I had such severe pain in my back, I was sure I'd broken something. Last Saturday we spent 5 hours in the ER to find out I have a kidney stone, blech. I am getting by on Percocet until it passes, which knocks me out cold for hours at a time. SOOOO, I'm hoping this all resolves itself soon (the docs said it will!) and I am back to feeling crafty soon. It has not been the greatest week, but I am SO glad this is only temporary. All will be fine in the end. I'm really grateful for my normal health and for having insurance, so many blessings come out of things like this....

But. a few days ago, I heard the news about Cath leaving Moxie Fab World and the blog hop that's being set up for her. I really wanted to do something, and I even dreamed about making a card for her last night to say "thanks" for all the encouragement and inspiration she provides to our community every day. I needed up taking my meds about 530am the other day, and was able to sleep for a couple hours after that. So, once I got the boys out the door, I figured I'd take advantage of my energy to go ahead and make something.

If you are doing the Hop for Cath, you should have come from the SRM Stickers blog.

The ColourQ challenge for this week was the perfect foil for my card. I used my new CASual fridays stamp set-Amber Waves.

and here's my card:

I did a small cluster at the top of the stamped panel, with a Tim Holtz paper clip, a Studio Calico wood piece and a bit of washi. The flower at the bottom is a wood piece from Little Yellow Bicycle.
I had a lot of fun making this card! I am so glad it will get to Cath herself, thank you SO much for all you've done for us all, Cath! The inspiration and encouragement you provide is invaluable! See you on Pinterest, I hope! :)

If you are Hopping, you should go to Unity Stamp Company next!

Have a wonderful weekend!
Noelle
